Two decades of designing the way people live.
Ashika Serasinghe is a Chartered Architect of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects. Her career began under the direction of eminent architect Sujith Mohotti while she studied at the City School of Architecture, and after qualifying she practised at the distinguished firms of Sujith Mohotti Associates and Design Consortium.
She later served in the regular force of the Sri Lanka Army — rising to Major in the Engineering Services Regiment, where the landmark Library Building at the Panagoda Cantonment is among her creations. For more than a decade since, she has designed homes and spaces for leading professionals in medicine, engineering and finance — meeting exacting requirements while attending to the smallest detail.

My only instructions were for natural ventilation and natural daylighting. Ashika’s design resulted in an energy-efficient home where we have no need for air-conditioning at any time of day, nor artificial lighting during the daytime.
